asmithconway: Cliff notes version: Colon cancer at age 24, 14 surgeries later....went to graduate school to become a therapist, brought fitness into my life...33, the other shoe dropped, I got Parkinson's Disease....in April of 2010 I went through Deep Brain Surgery and noticed the huge gap in the continuation of care in the Parkinson's world. October 2010, I created and launched a program called "Parkinson's in Balance" which bring fitness classes, support groups and indvidual/family therapy at no cost to the community.
